IDLE The IDLE command is a lot like Matzkil--it does absolutely nothing. It does not produce any output, and it is the only command that does not even affect your idle time as reported by the "who" command, "+top", and other activity monitoring commands. The command exists for players whose internet providers shutdown their connections if there is no activity for some inconveniently short period of time. Those players can send the IDLE command to the game at regular intervals to circumvent the timeout without violating the terms of NEWS IDLING. Unlike other game commands, the IDLE command must be entered in all caps. There is also an attribute named IDLE. For information about that, see HELP @IDLE.
